Ubisoft is proud to announce that two of the hand-drawn video game adventures from Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Montpellier, Child of Light and Valiant Hearts, are coming to Nintendo Switch this 2019 in one retail package. Child of Light is a platforming role-playing video game originally released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game’s story is set in the fictional land of Lemuria where a young girl named, Aurora, is trying to save their lost kingdom and her sick father. Produced as a modern reimagining of childhood fairy tales with unique watercolor visuals, Child of Light sees Aurora, her firefly Igniculus, and a bunch of other party members to defeat the Dark Queen of Lemuria and her minions in tough turn-based battle.

As you triumph over the Dark Queen’s minions in this RPG, you’ll level up and unlock skill points used to upgrade the unique abilities of your party members while crafting and improving your equipment. By utilizing the power of light, Aurora and Igniculus will work together to solve puzzles. On Switch, players can team up with a friend as Igniculus can be controlled by another player using a Joy-Con controller.
On the other hand, Valiant Hearts is a puzzle adventure video game that was originally released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Valiant Hearts is a story about five strangers who were brought together by the terrors of war and their loyal canine companion.
Inspired by the letters during World War I, Valiant Hearts is a promising heartfelt adventure of friendship, love, sacrifice, and tragedy through history.
Set forth on an epic journey as you explore the famous WW1 locations like Reims and Montfaucon, and crucial, war-impacting moments like the Battles of Marne and Somme as you work with your trusty and adorable dog to solve puzzles and sneak behind rival borders.

On Switch, Valiant Hearts is fully playable with touch controls, allowing you to interact with the characters and world like never before. Additionally, Switch owners will have access to an interactive comic book, Valiant Hearts: Dogs of War. The comic tells the tale of Walt the dog and his sister Cassie in the early years of WW1 as they navigate dangerous trenches in order to deliver important messages and rescue fallen soldiers.
