Game Overview

If you don’t have any idea what this series is all about, here’s the overview of each installment below.

The first installment in this twisted murder series is Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Released in 2010 for the PlayStation Portable, the game puts players in the shoes of a high school student named Makoto Naegi. Makoto studies in a prestigious high school reserved for the nation’s “ultimate” students called, Hope’s Peak Academy. However, things get twisted when Makoto finds himself trapped in a deadly game of despair by a bear named Monokuma.

Released in 2012, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair introduced players to a brand new cast of characters and a new setting as well. Players follow the role of Hajime Hinata who was trapped on the Island of Jabberwock with the other Ultimates. In this second installment of the Danganronpa series, players will face a more challenging battle as Goodbye Despair requires players to murder another student without being caught to survive, or else, they’ll spend the rest of their lives in the Jabberwock Island.

And last is Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony which was released in 2017. The story of the game is about a high school student named Kaede Akamatsu who was kidnapped and found herself trapped in a prison-like campus in the Ultimate Academy with the other 15 gifted juveniles. Kaede and the other 15 juveniles must investigate the twisted murder cases while finding their way to survive.

Prepare for some jaw-dropping revelations that make the lines go blurry between truth and lies. Kill, lie, debate, investigate and survive. This is the world of Danganronpa. Enter at your own risk.
