Last December, we’ve learned that the 1999-released PC visual novel Eve: Burst Error will be having its sequel this year with Eve: Rebirth Terror, as seen on the Famitsu magazine. Thanks to publisher El Dia as they will be releasing the upcoming game for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita systems in Japan.
But not only that. The company will also be releasing a Limited Edition of the game that includes a Special original illustration collection and the Eve: Rebirth Terror actual game.
After two decades, Eve: Burst Error is ready to continue its story with Eve: Rebirth Terror with the return of the game’s original protagonists, Kojiro Amagi and Marina Hojo.
Eve: Rebirth Terror takes players after a year of Burst Error events, where a new incident unfolds. For an overview, Kojirou’s story focuses on a new incident where a teacher of the Yale International Academy goes missing. Meanwhile, Marina is looking after a young boy while she is on leave from work. At the same time, she heard about a story of various hit men from overseas gathers in Japan.

Story Summary

In their daily mundane, the pair continued to serve their roles and pursue various incidents. However, when their paths unexpectedly cross, fate once again pins them against a new tragedy…
Kojirou Amagi’s Story
The Amagi Detective Agency is still as unpopular as ever. Kojirou, who has worked simple cases thanks to his excellent assistant Kato and has not had trouble making a living, passes each day in tedium. Then one day, a request comes in for Kojirouto investigate the case of a missing teacher at Yale International Academy, a school that he is strongly connected to. Kojirou accepts the request to investigate this case, which gives off the restless feeling he has long been without…
Marina Houjou’s Story
Marina, the legendary agent who once boasted a 99 percent work success rate. However, due to a setback in a certain case, she stepped back from her work and is currently burned out and on leave. One day, Yayoi asks that she look after a boy who snuck into the office. At the same time, she hears that countless hitmen from overseas are gathering in Japan…
