Assassin’s Creed III Remastered

Last year, Ubisoft announced that they will be releasing the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III as part of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass. After months of being so silent about the game, Ubisoft surprised everyone when they announced on Twitter that they will be releasing Assassin’s Creed III Remastered with a rich new graphics engine, higher-resolution textures and support for HDR and 4K.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is scheduled to launch on March 29 this year as a physical release and as part of the previously announced Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

To support the announcement, Ubisoft shared a video of the upcoming game which shows the difference of the original version to the remastered version. From the looks of it, the biggest difference is the game’s quality of lighting. Some scenes in the game are seen with a bit more yellowish and golden filter that sets apart the remastered version from the original version. The game also gets a big improvement in its texture resolution as well as a 4K visual upgrade with HDR support.

Assassin’s Creed 3 was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The game has players taking the role of the half-English, half-Mohawk Ratonhnhaké:ton, Native American assassin, Connor.

Furthermore, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will include all of its original post-launch DLC such as Benedict Arnold and Hidden Secrets missions, The Tyranny of King Washington, and the entire game Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered.
