Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S – Definitive Edition
Nintendo™ Switch – North America
Recently in the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that the previously confirmed Japan-only Dragon Quest XI S Nintendo Switch port is now confirmed for a worldwide release on the said console. This upcoming port of the long-running Japanese RPG series will be officially titled Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age S – Definitive Edition.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S – Definitive Edition is expected to release sometime in Fall this year. It will feature the same sprawling content of the original, but promises a whole bunch of new features including new music, new character storylines, and the ability to revert the overall look of the game from HD to retro inspired 16-bit visuals, that appears to have a similarity with the original Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
This Definitive Edition of the game also features audio tracks that can be switched between English and Japanese records according to your preference. In addition, players will also be able to manually adjust the battle speed, which is perfect for advanced and newcomers, especially if they find the game a little too overwhelming compared to some RPGs today.
Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the original game, is a critically-acclaimed role-playing game that features the magnificent work of series creator Yuji Horii. Players follow the role of a young boy who soon discovers that he is the reincarnation of a hero who saved the world before and must do the mission to defend the world against the forces of evil.
Team on-the-go, are you ready to immerse in the world of Dragon Quest XI S filled with remarkable characters, an enchanting tale and classic RPG gameplay?
As of the time of writing, no concrete release date for the game has been announced yet. All we know is that the game is coming sometime in Fall this year, but, the game is already listed under the “announced” status here at Playasia. Stay tuned for more updates!
