Last December, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was unexpectedly unveiled at the Game Awards to be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. After several months of silence, the game was once again spotted in an information-loaded announcement via Nintendo Direct 2019. From there, a bunch of details was confirmed for the upcoming brawler such as the release date, newly announced characters, an all-new story and more.
Let’s go first to the story. During the stream, it was confirmed that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will have a brand new story that throws Marvel’s famous heroes and villains to the battleground and fight for the fate of the world.
Next is the game’s characters. Initially, characters from the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men were shown in a trailer as playable characters. However, during the Nintendo Direct presentation, it has now been confirmed that the Defenders squad will also be playable in the game. If you’re unfamiliar with the team members of Defenders, they are Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones.
More importantly, it was revealed that Captain Marvel will also join the fight to stop Thanos from his cruelty. Well, this game will give our Captain a good exposure since she will soon be hitting the big screen for her Marvel Cinematic Universe movie this year.
Furthermore, various special attacks were also shown in the presentation including the “Alliance Extreme Attack” and “Ultimate Alliance Extreme.”
Well, this upcoming game looks very promising, especially knowing that the developer of this game comes from the division of Koei Tecmo who is best known for their Dead or Alive series. And, yes, it is none other than, Team Ninja.
