Last December, we have witnessed the opening movie of the upcoming romance visual novel My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? for the Nintendo Switch. However, Japan and Asian version release dates of the game were only confirmed. But worry no more western fans as the western release date for the game has now been revealed!
And fortunately, the western version of the game will also release on the same day that the Japanese version of the game will be releasing. So, better get those pens and mark the 28th of February this year as My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? will be landing on the Nintendo Switch systems on that said date.
My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? western release will be available digitally via the Nintendo eShop, publisher Sekai Games announced.

Game Overview
My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? was first released for PC’s via Steam as She Is Mermaid!? with Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language support. And as promised by the developer, the PC English translation is already available since last month. If you missed this update, you can check out the developer’s announcement about this on Steam.
Also, please take note that the Asian release of My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? will have language support for Chinese and Japanese, all as subtitles.

That summer, I met the mermaid you…
Our protagonist lives out in the city but one summer decides to return to his rural hometown and it is where he once again meets his childhood friend, Ion… who is now a mermaid!? Soon after he also meets Petakko, a mermaid who has lost her memory and Rin, a priestess who looks after mermaids but also has a split personality. It is these encounters that bring our protagonist in contact with the legend surrounding mermaid. Together with Ion, who is at the center of this mysterious legend, as well as Petakko and Rin, our protagonist’s strange summer vacation begins…
