The Assassin’s Creed franchise publisher, Ubisoft, will bring a real-time strategy video game that goes into the 19th century exclusively for Windows PC. Anno 1800 is a city building real-time strategy video game developed by Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft.
At first, it was announced that this game is coming for a February release date. However, last January, Ubisoft announced the slight change in the release date from February 26th to April 16th. According to Ubisoft Blue Byte community developer Bastian Thun, the reason for the delay is adding polish and tune in the game for better experience.

This wasn’t an easy decision for us because we know how much you are looking forward to the release, and we ourselves can’t wait to have you all experience the full game. Since the announcement of the game at Gamescom 2017, we have always been committed to deliver the best Anno experience possible at launch.
We are very happy with where the game and its wide mix of new and classic features are today, but we know that it can be even better with a little additional polish and tuning. These extra weeks will allow us to deliver a game that fully lives up to its potential.
Let’s go back to the Industrial Revolution. For a brief background, this is the transition to a new manufacturing process in Europe and in the US. From hand production methods to building machinery for easy processing of goods and materials, new chemical manufacturing, using steam power in transportation and the rise of popular growth. This is also a turning point in history as average income exhibit unprecedented growth.
Now, let’s go back to the game. As we welcome the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, what’s your ultimate career? In this game, there’s a path you will choose. If you want to be an innovator, exploiter, conqueror, or a liberator, well it’s up to you on how the world will remember. In Anno 1800, you build your own empire as you take charge of your fortune in the rapidly evolving landscape and malicious political arena of the 19th century. As you build your empire, your power must reach in the busy cities of Europe to the jungles of South America. You better prove your skills as a creator of your empire as you dominate your opponents in terms of diplomacy, trade, and warfare.
