Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster

Nintendo™ Switch – Asia

Jump back to the timeless classics of the longest-running video game franchise, Final Fantasy, with Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster. Originally developed for the PlayStation 2 in the early 2000s, Square Enix is proud to announce that this upcoming game is a remastered version of both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, designed for the current gen consoles for old and new fans alike.

However, it has been confirmed that the Final Fantasy X-2 game content is a download code only. So, for those who will buy the Nintendo Switch retail version of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster, they will still need to download X-2 to be able to play the game.

The fine print appeared on the game’s official website, which can be seen below.

BUT…

Bandai Namco confirmed to Nintendo Soup that the Southeast Asia version of the game will receive both Final Fantasy X and X-2 on the same Game Card for the Nintendo Switch physical release.

Also, it is worth noting that the version that we have here at Playasia is the Multi-Language Edition of the game. Players can have the option to choose between English or Japanese voiceovers, plus the availability of English subtitle is present as well.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster Southeast Asia version is scheduled to launch on an earlier date which is on April 11th. So, if you will be picking up this edition, you can grab your copies here on our website. Click the image below to secure your copies!

hi! is there a difference between the English cover version (https://www.play-asia.com/final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster-multi-language-english-cover/13/70ci2j) and the Chinese cover version (https://www.play-asia.com/final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster-multi-language-chinese-cover/13/70cjxf) or are they both exactly the same just with different covers?

    • Patricia Jaucian says:

  12. Max says:

Can you finally confirm that the japan version has both games on the cart (no download required)? It’s the only asian version available right now on the store.

    https://www.play-asia.com/final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster-multi-language/13/70ci49

Can you also clarify if there are other languages available in the japan version because in the description it says:

    Language can opt for:
    – Japanese voice/text
    – English voice/text

but later on in the “Further info” section it says:
    – Language: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian

So I’m a bit confused because I want a version with both games on the cart and it will be good to know what languages it supports

    • Fem says:

      Hi Max,

The Japanese Version is also the same as the Asian Version, both games in 1 cartridge.
As for the languages: the Japanese voice/text & English voice/text is the voice combination confirmed. Subtitles: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian.

  14. Alex says:

Hello I have a question, can this version be played with spanish subtitles as the american version or it only include english subtitles ? Thanks 🙂

    • Fem says:

      – English voice and subs
      – Japanese voice and subs
      – Japanese voice and Chinese subs
