The Dragon of Dojima is back on track as Sega has announced the final Yakuza PlayStation 3 port dated in Ryu ga Gotoku 5: Yume, Kanaeshi Mono Remaster (龍が如く5 夢、叶えし者) or also known as the Yakuza 5 Remaster. According to the Weekly Famitsu issue, it’s now confirmed that it’s coming to the PlayStation 4 console this June 20 in Japan.
Yakuza 5 or Ryu ga Gotoku 5: Yume, Kanaeshi Mono is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios and published by Sega. This is the fifth main entry to the Ryu Ga Gotoku or Yakuza series. The PS3 version was released last December 2012 in Japan followed by the Western localization last December 2015. To adapt the huge amount of changes in terms of graphics and such, it’s now getting the improved resolution and frame rate with the Yakuza 5 Remaster.
The legendary main protagonist of the Yakuza franchise is back as the Dragon of Dojima or Kazuma Kiryu is now living a peaceful life as a taxi driver in Fukuoka after severing all ties in his past life. However, a certain incident wherein the dawn of the bloody turf between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance, he’s forced to go back to his old life filled with crimes and violence to protect his loved ones.
Yakuza 5 Remaster continues the story of Kazuma Kiryu along with the four other protagonists such as Haruka Sawamura, Taiga Saejima, Tatsuo Shinada, and Shun Akiyama. As the story continues in the major Japanese cities, this game will feature a sub-plot that mainly focus on each protagonist which is called the Another Drama mode. Explore Japan in the neon nightlife with the nightclub interactions with 30 mini-games to play.
