The Surge 2

The sci-fi action, The Surge, by German video game developer, Deck 13, will return this 2019 and promises “larger and more ambitious level design, more brutal combat, and an expanded limb-targeting system.” Which means, Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive will be teaming up once again to bring this new game to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Welcome to the second entry of Deck 13’s action franchise, The Surge 2.
The Surge 2 is a direct sequel to the studio’s first game, The Surge. When the original game was launched in May 2017 on the same platforms, the title received mixed reviews from critics and gamers. Some outlets considered the game’s Souls-like difficulty setting as either a positive or negative feature of the title.

What to Expect in The Surge 2?
In an interview with Jan Klose, a developer in Deck 13, and website GamingBolt, Klose revealed some interesting facts about The Surge 2, including the fact that they will pump it up as high as possible, specifically for the Xbox One X.
GamingBolt: “Will the game feature Xbox One X enhancements?. What can players expect if they are playing the game on Xbox One X? Is 4K/60fps on the cards?”
Klose: “We’re working on it and will pump it up as high as possible,” Klose noted to the site. “We have a lot going on on the screen, but we really want to keep the high fidelity when it comes to combat and movement. Therefore, a higher framerate is more important to us than the highest possible resolution. In any case, we want to make The Surge 2 look great on the Xbox One X.”
Of course, there’s also a question about the PS4 version of the game.
GamingBolt: “And how will the PS4 Pro version turn out in terms of resolution and frame rate?”
Klose: “We hope we can push our tech to the limit to go as high as possible, and it’s currently looking pretty good.”
Well, from the looks of it, Deck 13 is extremely pushing all their efforts to make this sequel as great as possible. Let’s hope that this one will go well than the original.
@Deck13_de @TheSurgeGame absolutely loved the first installment of the surge and cannot wait to play the second one! I know the release date is set for 2019 but will we be seeing any of The Surge 2 at any upcoming events like E3?
