If you’ve been waiting for a new Attack on Titan game, Koei Tecmo has you covered. Recently, the company announced that they are once again working with developer Omega Force to bring Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on PlayStation 4, Xbox One family of devices, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Gamers in Japan will get to play the Final Battle first as it will launch in their region on July 4th, while North American and European folks will get the game a day after Japan’s release date, July 5th. In Japan, it will be known as Shingeki no Kyojin 2: Final Battle while in Europe, the game will be released under the title A.O.T. 2: Final Battle.

Final Battle will serve as a major expansion for the 2018-released Attack on Titan 2 video game featuring characters and missions from the third season of the anime, now with over 40 playable characters, original episodes to expand the story. The game will also bring new weapons to the table such as Thunder Spears which can be used to against the Armored Titan when a normal blade just won’t cut it.

In addition, this expansion features a Wall Reclamation Mode, where you get to form your own squad and reclaim territory from the Titans, and an anti-personnel battle experience where you battle ODM-equipped killers in wild aerial showdowns.

Here’s the official statement from Koei Tecmo:

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle will feature two new gameplay experiences: A frenetic anti-personnel combat feature using anti-personnel omnidirectional mobility gear and an all-new wall reclamation mode focused on recovering outside territories. Here, players will have an ability to choose a leader of their squad, pick out the members they want to include – even members who were never together in the original work, and set out to reclaim the lands from the Titans. Thunder Spears will also be equipped for battle for the first time, allowing the takedown of the Armored Titan when a normal blade just won’t cut it.

A.O.T. 2: Final Battle will be available physically that comes with the Attack on Titan 2 base game and this new upcoming expansion. On the other hand, if you happen to own the base Attack on Titan 2 game, you can get the Final Battle expansion via a digital purchase as an Upgrade Pack at a reduced price.
