Are you a fan of collecting physical games and patiently waiting for the physical release of Team Cherry‘s gorgeous bug-themed Metroidvania, Hollow Knight? Well, we have some good news for you. Team Cherry and Fangamer announced that the action/platformer’s physical release is finally happening! Yes, you read that right.

If you can still recall, in late 2018, many of our folks in the gaming community were disheartened about Hollow Knight’s physical release being canceled due to the collapse of Team Cherry’s partnership with publisher Skybound Games.

However, Team Cherry promised it would look into other options and that’s the time when Fangamer came to the rescue. Finally, early this year, Team Cherry is pleased to announce that they are back in action to bring the physical release of the most anticipated platformer with the help of Fangamer.

Both companies are aiming to release the game in late May this year for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC with two physical editions: the standard edition and the collector’s edition.

The collector’s edition comes packed with the Hollow Knight base game, an instruction manual (retro!), and a map of Hallownest. But, that’s not all, it also includes a gold foil collector’s box, knight brooch and stand, Quirrel comic book, gold foil art print set, and a pre-order bonus papercraft set. This edition will be available exclusively at Fangamer.com for $64 for PS4 and PC and $69 for Switch.
