Derived from Hawaiʻiloa, a mythical navigator native of Kaʻāina kai melemele a Kane (the land of the yellow sea of Kane), Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, lush forests, and stunning volcanoes; the first documented visit of the islands has been made by Captain James Cook on January 18, 1778. In his journal, he wrote: “In the course of my several voyages, I never before met with the natives of any place so much astonished, as these people were, upon entering a ship. Their eyes were continually flying from object to object; the wildness of their looks and gestures fully expressing their entire ignorance about everything they saw, and strongly marking to us, that, till now, they had never been visited by Europeans, nor been acquainted with any of our commodities except iron.” Due to his voyages, Hawaiian Islands became very popular within the Georgian society; decreeing the beginning of the tourist industry which after 241 years is still prominent for the indigenous people.

During the 60s, thanks to the explosion of Surf Music; Hawaii’s appeal increase enormously becoming in no-time the absolute protagonist of many movies, TV series, and music albums. From the first Elvis’ movie Blue Hawaii to The Descendants; passing through Lost, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, and obviously Magnum P.I. this archipelago is a very unique place very different from any other place.
Also, if you’ve played with Persona 5, you’ll surely remember that between September 7^th – 11^th the Shujin Academy students traveled in there for the traditional summer school trip.
