The game publisher behind Caligula: Overdose, FuRyu, has announced the upcoming turn-based game Cardfight!! Vanguard ( カードファイト!! ヴァンガード エクス（EX）) for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. And, this game is due out this September 19th in Japan.
For a brief background, Cardfight!! Vanguard (カードファイト!! ヴァンガード) is a famous Japanese multimedia franchise created by Akira Itō (Yu-Gi-Oh! R), Satoshi Nakamura (Duel Masters), and Takaaki Kidani for collaboration. With the popularity of this franchise, it currently consists of anime television series, manga series, anime/live-action film, trading card game, and now a video game.
According to Gematsu, a pamphlet for this upcoming card game was distributed at Vanguard & Buddyfight Ultra Big Card Fest 2019 last May 3. At the back of the pamphlet, it was revealed that whoever buys the physical edition will also get a special version of “Exculpate the Blaster.”

Cardfight!! Vanguard EX tells the original story with the new characters on board. The original story created for this game is under the supervision of the original creators namely Akira Itou and Bushiroad. So, if you are a fan of Cardfight!! Vanguard and if you happen to be a PS4 and Switch owner, you better grab this because you can only experience the thrill that Cardfight!! Vanguard EX can only offer. In addition to the new characters, the main protagonist of this iconic franchise, Izuru Shidou (士導イズル), will also appear to the new Vanguard world.
Last April, FuRyu debuted the 16-minute gameplay video of Cardfight!! Vanguard EX during a live-stream. In the gameplay, it showcased the full match using a trial deck using the Switch version of this game.
