Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is an action role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom and served the publishing rights in Japan. Meanwhile, NIS America took over the publishing rights in the Western regions. First, it was released in Japan by Falcom for PlayStation Vita last July 2016 then followed by with the worldwide release for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch.

Ys franchise returns with this game for a brand new adventure for the first time after many years. The game follows the main protagonist, Adol, as he awakes in a shipwreck called the Lombardia. He’s stranded on a cursed island known as the Isle of Seiren. Now, he’s on the search for other survivors and he teams up with Laxia von Roswell and fisherman Sahad Nautilus to help the castaways to survive and find a way to get out of the island. However, he begins to dream of a mysterious person from a prehistoric era. Now, he wants to find out the meaning of his dream.

Follow Adol and his latest adventure on the cursed island to unfold its untold mysteries. Played from a third-person perspective, collect some materials from defeating local fauna, flora and opening some chests. Collect them to use them in your own accord such as healing items and create strong weapons.
