The Japanese gaming conglomerate, Konami, has announced the cult classic run-and-gun franchise Contra is back on track. During the Nintendo Direct presentation in E3 2019, Konami revealed the next to the Contra series, Contra: Rogue Corps.

Contra: Rogue Corps is an upcoming run and gun video game of the Contra series developed and published by Konami. It’s coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows this September 24th in the Western regions. Meanwhile, in Japan, you will have to wait until September 26th to play this game.
Thanks to Nobuya Nakazato, the director of Contra III: The Alien Wars and Contra: Hard Corps, as he establishes the Contra franchise for more than 25 years. Contra: Rogue Corps will bring fresh new gameplay with enormous crazed enemies, over-the-top violence and diverse of playable characters.
The game sets several years after the Contra III: The Alien Wars and it takes place in Damned City. It follows the former military group living as bounty hunters and treasure hunters in the said city. However, survival is on the line as survival also requires fast reactions, powerful weapons, occasional organ, and cybernetic augmentation.
Take on some missions in PVE campaigns as you gather useful resources to upgrade the weaponry. Along with that, you also customize the character’s abilities in the Operation Room. Of course, the ultimate goal is to stay alive in the Damned City.
