Pokemon Sword and Shield New Pokemon, Rivals & Galarian Forms Revealed!
Pocket Monsters Sword & Shield (Multi-Language)
Nintendo™ Switch – Japan
We all know that you guys can’t wait for November 15th to get a hold of and finally play the brand-new Pokemon games on your Nintendo Switch. Well, things just get even more exciting as Nintendo and the Pokemon Company dropped the newest trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield revealing the game’s cast.
The new video outlines a handful of monsters and characters jumping into the game such as new Pokemon, new Galarian form Pokemon, and your rivals.
Just like in the 3DS Pokemon title, Sun and Moon, some of our favorite creatures from the previous games will have a different appearance to blend in the Galar region. The video introduces three Pokemon creatures in their Galarian Forms and they are, Galarian Weezing, Galarian Zigzagoon, and Galarian Linoone.
The Galar region has its own regional forms of Pokémon, known as Galarian forms! Galarian Weezing consumes polluted air and poisonous gases for sustenance. The air produced through this purification process is very clean! #PokemonSwordShieldhttps://t.co/qABt8LhNg8 pic.twitter.com/k79OcWWO2B

Galarian Zigzagoon move about however they like and never settle down. They’re known to inhabit all areas of the region, including fields, forests, and even towns!
They enjoy battles and will charge at people & other Pokémon to provoke a fight. #PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/IhBcCjE2bJ

Living in the unique environment of the Galar region, some regional forms have developed unique Evolutions unseen in any other region.
Obstagoon evolves from Galarian Linoone as a result of its honed survival instincts from living in harsh conditions. #PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/GIjwMO0bdi

More so, a new “form changing” monster called Morpeko has been revealed and it looks like a new Pikachu-like mon of today’s generation. Take note, this tiny little creature has two forms: an adorable “full belly mode” and a despicable “hangry” mode.
Some Pokémon can change their form due to the effects of certain items or their own Ability. Some changes don’t simply change the Pokémon’s appearance, they can also affect the types of its moves or even change its Ability! Morpeko is one such Pokémon. #PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/MZrUTr9bjy

Morpeko generates electricity with the sacs in its cheeks, consuming energy & causing constant hunger. Its Ability, Hunger Switch, causes Morpeko to change its appearance each turn. Its signature move, Aura Wheel, also changes type depending on Morpeko’s form. pic.twitter.com/v52H2wj5am

We also get a look at the new rivals Bede and Marnie as well as Marnie’s most loyal fans, Team Yell.
Bede is one of your rivals who is skilled at Pokémon battles and has the pride to match! He received his Gym Challenge endorsement from Chairman Rose. While he clearly is aiming to become Champion, he seems to have other objectives as well…#PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/poB7iixjnU

Marnie is one of your rivals who has a competitive side. Together with her partner Morpeko, she aims to become the Champion of the Galar region. She has many passionate fans, thanks to her pretty looks and calm, calculated battle strategies.#PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/fCrPOp5Emq

Game Overview
Pokemon Sword & Shield will feature massive stadiums for battles to take place and new Pokemon characters such as Wooloo the sheep, Gossifleur, a cute little flower, Corviknight the flying taxi, and Snapping turtle Drednaw. It was also revealed in the special Pokemon Direct that a pair of legendary monsters will also be joining the game — Zacian and Zamazenta. In fact, these two are the characters designed around the theme of the sword and shield game.
Moreover, one of the core elements in the game is the Dynamax feature. It is a temporary transformation that can be activated in a given battle as a move. Using the Dynamax will allow your Pokemon to grow as giants with maximized power.
Furthermore, you can call up to three of your friends and play together in the multiplayer mode where up to four players can team up to defeat one of the massive creatures in the game.
