After the leaked announcement by GameStop, it’s now confirmed, Disney fans! Publisher Disney Games, distributor Nighthawk Interactive, and developer Digital Eclipse have announced that two of the most beloved Disney classics are heading to current generation consoles.

And yes, it is none other than the 1993-released Aladdin game and 1994-released The Lion King game, both originally developed for Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (The Lion King-only) by Virgin Interactive. Both games are packed in one stunning collection titled, Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and the Lion King. The collection is currently poised to release on October 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

What’s New?

If you have played these games back in the days, there’s no doubt that you will enjoy Aladdin and the Lion King on the current generation consoles. And to get everyone in the hype train of these classics, Nighthawk Interactive released the official trailer for the game.

What we are most excited about is that Aladdin and the Lion King will be playable in its different versions. And that includes the Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and Super Game Boy versions of Aladdin and The Lion King as well as The Lion King’s SNES version.

Plus, both classics will be playable in original and 1080p resolutions. But that’s not all, it will also include their original soundtracks. Of course, players can also enjoy the games with the new features such as the ability to fast-forward and rewind to jump to any part of the game, as well as have the game itself take over to teach the player how to clear the stage.
