In the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct, Square Enix grabbed the opportunity to announce a piece of exciting news for the Dragon Quest fans. To commemorate the launch for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age on September 27, the company revealed that the first three Dragon Quest games in the series which are Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, will be ported out to the Nintendo Switch!

Players can purchase Dragon Quest 1, 2, and 3 via the Nintendo eShop individually on the same day that Dragon Quest XI S will launch in Japan for 600 yen, 850 yen, and 1,500 yen, respectively. (Thanks, Gematsu!)


BUT…

Square Enix’s announcement isn’t done yet. The company’s cherry on top of this news is the revelation of Dragon Quest 1+2+3 Collection physical release! Yes, you read that right.

Asia will be receiving a sweet treat as Dragon Quest 1+2+3 Collection physical release is coming exclusively in their region with English, Chinese & Korean language support. Plus, all the three Dragon Quest titles will be included in one single cartridge.

Playable in English + No download codes. I can see you smiling there.


RELEASE DATE

The digital versions of Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation are scheduled to release on September 27. Meanwhile, no exact release date has been announced for Dragon Quest 1+2+3 Collection physical version yet. All we know is that it’s currently poised for a 2019 release.
