Sega has promised that more information will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2019 for Project Sakura Wars or Shin Sakura Taisen. Now, it’s the time to share that information to you, folks.
Sega is one of the presenters for this year’s Tokyo Game Show and one of their line-up games is the JRPG romance genre Project Sakura Wars (working title for the Western regions) or Shin Sakura Taisen. (新サクラ大戦) And during the Sakura Wars Imperial Propaganda Department Report TGS Special #1: Latest Information Special broadcast, the game publisher has shared new videos, information, and more.

Elise (voiced by Nana Mizuki, designed by Fumikane Shimada)
“No need, I’ll take care it in 3 seconds.”
Extremely loyal to her misson, and always fights through any difficult mission, she is the leader of the Berlin Combat Revue. She does not talk much, but she has a strong will that won’t bend easily, and leadership. She has intrest in how deep Japanese culture is, and is often seen spectating Kabuki in the Imperial Capital.
Margarete (voiced by Rie Kugimiya, designed by Fumikane Shimada)
“The chances of you winning is… zero percent. You should pray for a miracle to happen.
A child prodigy that serves at the tactician of the Berlin Combat Revue. She’s known for her straightforward, somewhat cold way of saying things. Many of the operations she plans are said to be impossible, so only the highly skilled Berlin Combat Revue is capable of carrying them out.
Yasha (voiced by Chisa Yokoyama)
A high-level kouma that suddenly appears alongside disaster in the Imperial Capital during the opening ceremony of the Great Combat Revue World War. She is looking for a tool called the “Imperial Key.” She seems to resemble the top star of the Imperial Combat Revue: Floral Division, but what is her true nature…?

A Combat Revue based in Berlin, Germany that fights for the defense of the city. The group has army-like leadership, as well as exceptional individual combat ability. Among the Combat Revues across the world, they are the Combat Revue with the greatest roar. In battle, they operate as the “Berlin Combat Revue: Schwarzschild (Iron Star).”
Spiricle Fighter: Eisenjaeger
The Spiricle Fighter operated by the Berlin Combat Revue. It was developed as a Spiricle Fighter that inherits the genealogy of the Spiricle Fighter: Eisenkleid, which was once used in the European Hoshigumi. It is a powerful mech that has both heavy armor and tremendous firepower, and has the style of a warrior able to overtake the enemy’s spirit.
Puppet Soldier: Shinmetsu
A Puppet Soldier operated by Yasha, which operates through spiritual power. A huge mech more than a size larger than a Spiricile Fighter, its agile mobility puts the Mugen to shame and its long sword can unleash devastating attacks.

Azami Mochizuki – Spiricle Fighter: Mugen
Azami Mochizuki’s Spiricle Fighter has a large gauntlet and specializes in melee combat. Rapidly dishing out punches and kicks, it speeds around the battlefield whether it is on the ground or in air. Her special attack “Mochizuki Ryuu Ninpou: Musou Shuriken” throws multiple shurikens to attacks every enemy around her.
Anastasia Palma – Spiricle Fighter: Mugen
Anastasia’s Spiricle Fighter uses a handgun and iconic rifle shaped like an umbrella. Not only she can use her firearms in ranged combat, but also can fight in close range with her umbrella, making her skilled in combat in all ranges. Her special attack “Apolito Miden” locks onto enemies in a straight line, then shoots them with a powerful blow.

For a brief background, Project Sakura Wars or Shin Sakura Taisen is a JRPG romance genre game developed and published by Sega. This is the sixth mainline entry to the iconic game franchise and the first Sakura Wars that Red Entertainment didn’t develop. The game is a combination of action RPG, dating sim and visual novel elements.
The game sets in the fictional Taishō period in the 1940s. The World Combat Revue Organization is fighting for threat against world peace. With this, the Naval captain named Seijuro Kamiyama is transferred to the capital of Japan which is Tokyo and he must the Imperial Combat Revue in a tournament again the Combat Revues and to the fight the evil once again.
