One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4

One Piece fans, a new batch of trailers was dropped by Bandai Namco as the game publisher has released the character trailers of the upcoming One Piece action-adventure game, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. In these trailers, it presents Monkey D. Luffy and Crocodile.

Monkey D. Luffy

Recognized by his trademark straw hat given to him by Red-Haired Shanks at an early age, Luffy dreams of conquering The Grand Line to become the King of the Pirates—and he won’t let ANYTHING stop him!

As he sails the vast seas, he adds new members to his gang of Straw Hat Pirates. Destination: The Grand Line! After all his adventures and battles against famous foes, he’s a big-shot rookie with a 1.5 billion berry bounty on his head!

Luffy is a big eater who loves to feast. While his freewheeling nature may be vexing to some, he believes in himself and his trusted friends above all else!

• Action Type: Power – With Gear Two’s high speed attacks and Gear Three’s raw power, he can pull off a variety of flashy moves. In contrast to his erratic, rubbery style from two years ago, his moves have since become more stylish and direct.

Crocodile

Former president of the secret criminal organization Baroque Works. He planned to take over Alabasta to obtain information on the Ancient Weapons, but was stopped by Luffy. A power user who ate the Sand-Sand Fruit, he can both control sand at will and turn into sand himself. He was imprisoned in Impel Down, but successfully escaped with Luffy’s help. After bearing witness to the Paramount War, he and Mr. 1 entered the New World.

• Action Type: Sky – Crocodile wields the power of the Sand-Sand Fruit. He has a variety of attacks using sand, including unusual techniques using sand blades and sandstorms. He can also use his techniques to fly.

Game Overview

During Bandai Namco’s “Play Anime” panel at Anime Expo 2019, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and Omega Force revealed the newest installment in the One Piece: Pirate Warriors series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. It is an action-adventure game based on the classic Shonen Jump series, One Piece, that will be released in 2020.

The latest installment is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. The announcement was accompanied by a debut trailer which can be seen below.

The Pirate Warriors are back and bring with them a more explosive story, more environments and even crazier attacks in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Follow Luffy and the Straw Hats from the beginning as they make their journey through different islands and onwards in the hopes of finding the illustrious treasure—the One Piece.
