Following the eggstremely egg hunting Bunny Day experience in early April in the fan-favorite Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo announced that the game will receive a series of free updates starting on April 23! Yes, that’s tomorrow! These updates will feature seasonal events and series’ returning characters, Leif and Redd.
Island Visitors
Leif
Keep it green!
Grind hard because Leif is coming to your Isla! Leif together with his Garden Shop will visit you to offer his nature-loving products such as flower seeds and shrubs.
Redd
Another special Island visitor is Redd. If that name sounds familiar to you, you are right. The “Redd” that will be showing up soon in New Horizons is the same “Crazy Redd” or “untrustworthy Redd” that you knew. He will occasionally show up in his boat on your island to sell some furniture with uncommon colors and in-game arts.
But, you have to be very wise to know what’s fake from real because some of them are just cheap imitations of the real ones. And if you’re not aware of it yet, you can donate these paintings to the Museum to open an art gallery and Blathers won’t accept it if it’s fake. So, whenever you see his boat docked, be sure to hop in and check out Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler’s! And remember, be wise.
Seasonal Events
(1) Nature Day (4/23-5/4)
Gotta love nature. Let’s all practice protecting and keeping our environment clean and green during the Nature Day event! (But of course not just during the event tho) Be sure to check out your Nook Miles+ App in your Nook Phone as limited-time nature day activities await! Plus, don’t forget to meet Tom Nook as there are some special nature day promotion for Nook Miles+ members!
(2) May Day (5/1 – 5/7)
Get ready to fly in the one and only Dodo Airlines and present your one-time May Day Ticket to Orville during the May Day Event. Get ready to set out on a limited-time island tour on an Isla that is different from the usual mystery island that you’ve encountered. Plus, watch out for some familiar faces that might also pay a visit on that unique island at the same time of your adventure.
(3) International Museum (5/18-5/31)
In commemoration of International Museum Day, Blathers will hold a Stamp Rally in which you can participate. Once you join, you will receive a special stamp card. Enjoy various museum exhibits such as viewing fish, insects, and fossils while collecting stamps to win an in-game reward!
(4) Wedding Season (6/1 – 6/30)
Wedding Month has arrived, nuptial-themed June! Visit Harvey’s island and meet the newlywed couple Reese and Cyrus as they try to get their fancy anniversary photos done. Go into Harvey’s studio and help the couple arrange and take their anniversary photos with them. As a token of gratitude, Reese and Cyrus will give you wedding-themed items as a souvenir.
