An enhanced version of the 2005-released first title of Sengoku Basara series is heading to PS4 on July 21 as Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi Anniversary Edition.
The Anniversary Edition will include 56 DLC, a special artbook and illustrated box, and more.
Capcom will also release an e-Capcom Limited Edition on the same date. Both versions are now open for pre-order here at Playasia.

In commemoration of the Sengoku Basara series’ 15th anniversary, Capcom announced that they will be releasing Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi Anniversary Edition on PlayStation 4. The game is poised to release in Japan on July 21. Also, the game will be made available in both physical and digital formats.

The first game of the series made its debut on July 21 in 2005 which marks its 15th anniversary this year. In fact, it’s also the 5th year of the enhanced Sumeragi version that originally hit Sony’s PS4 in July 2015. So, that means this Anniversary Edition celebrates two remarkable occasions of the series.

What’s in the box?

Aside from the expanded Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi game, the physical version of the game comes packed with 56 pieces of downloadable content on the disc, Special Illustrated Box, Download Code for Weapon Item, and a Special booklet “Sengoku Heroes 15th Anniversary Art Book.”

Moreover, the Anniversary Edition is an improved version of its first game released in 2015. The included DLC gives players access to special costumes, BGMs, weapons, and more. In addition, the 15th-anniversary artbook incorporates various artwork of the series’ history, as well as exclusive interviews and images!

Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi is an expansion to the Japanese historic hack-and-slash game Sengoku BASARA 4. New playable warlords will is added in this title including previously non-playable characters – Ashikaga Yoshiteru and Kyogoku Maria as well as a new warlord named Sen no Rikyu with split-personality; in total, players have approximately 40 playable warlords. As well, this title has an upgraded battle system called Battle Roulette System; it grants gamers the ability to trigger a roulette and win medals on the battlefield.
