It is an action-role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. Square Enix is a Japanese video game developer and publisher best known for its role-playing video games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Dragon Quest Builders is set to release on the 9th of February, 2018 on Nintendo Switch Platforms. It is confirmed to be out in America and Europe as announced through a post on Twitter by the Official Nintendo accounts of both countries. The game is now up for pre-orders, place your orders now!

【TRAILER】

The game takes place in the land of Alefgard which was once a beautiful and harmonious realm. The land is continuously suffering from a drastic catastrophe after the hero was wistfully defeated by the evil Dragonlord. The land of Alefgard remains gasping for hope as they are striving to survive the cursed world nothing but filled with darkness and violence. To end this curse, a new hero must arise, and this where you as a player goes into action.

In this game, your purpose is to rebuild the ruined towns of Alefgard and bring back the harmony that was once lived there. However, you, considering as the only light of the inhabitant’s hope, you are not called a hero but instead, the Builder. There is a part of the game where this is clarified to you by a mysterious voice soon as you awaken in the tomb. So if you’re thinking of your hero name, better just change it to a name of a Builder. Looking on the brighter side, you will still have the extraordinary qualities of a savior. As a chosen one, the power to create and change the world is in your hands, one who can mold the land back to its shape and above all, save Alefgard.

As the only legendary Builder of this game, you are tasked to construct rooms and towns to restore and level up its ruined towns. Moreover, reconstructing the town helps you draw new inhabitants to your town and raise their strength. However, don’t be too confident with these power-ups because increasing the town’s level also brings you closer to the edge of danger. This can lure the Dragonlord’s monsters and destroy the empire you are building. Keep in mind that the monster’s invasions can do significant destruction to your lands, so be very cautious. Another thing, even if the resources to reconstruct are abundant, fixing your homes and workhouses can eat up a lot of your time. So, join residents and fight back! Rewards are waiting for you when you defeat monsters and break blocks of the environment. You’ll earn materials for constructing items and strengthening structures.
