The best 3D action game on the Saturn
Bulk Slash, by far, is the best 3D action game on the Sega Saturn. Hudson took good controls and mashed them into one seven stages spanning game that every player will return time after time.
The game reminds your usual 3rd person action game. Here you control Bulk Slash, a giant robot capable of transforming into a fighter and back. Every mission is a bit different from the last. The first mission is straight up seek-and-destroy mission, whereas the fourth or so is about placing bombs inside enemy lines. The gameplay never gets slow and enemies, especially on the higher difficulty setting, are relentless in their job of taking you down.
The game has excellent values overall, but the draw distance causes popups a lot, something that doesn't really ruin the gameplay, but causes some head scratching.
A must own for all Sega Saturn owners.
