What is Gravure? What is photography? Tokyo, Fukue Island, Okinawa, and Tokyo again. "Working with photographer Masafumi Sanai, I have been taking photographs day after day, searching for answers to questions that have no answers. Gravure is my starting point, and because I love photography, I wanted to get closer to the essence of it. In Ms. Sanai's photographs, I have the impression that people, scenery, and objects are equally captured in their natural state, without distinction. I want to be photographed in that world, too, in a flat way".
