Better than the third one
Langrisser series hasn't been fairing well after the third iteration of the series. The fifth instalment of the Langrisser series doesn't really bring anything completely new to the table, but has its own thing going on. Gone are the 3D effects for the good and replaced with rather nice battle sequences. As with most Japan-only series Langrisser isn't boasting great graphics but great gameplay. Understanding Japanese language helps a lot, but the game is playable with some experimentation, but not to same degree as Super Robot Wars series.
To occasional players Langrisser isn't a choice of game, but to those who can enjoy rather hard game (to an extent) will find some challenge in Langrisser V.
Compared to any other versions, Saturn version comes out top, but that's not saying much.
