Item Description

Just before Hong Kong returns to China, the Beijing police send Gong Wei to work undercover in Hong Kong. His task is to investigate the gang headed by Fu Guang. Wei leaves behind his son, Gu, and his sick wife, Li Ha. By pretending to help gangster Blackie escape from prison, Wei befriends him. When in Hong Kong, Wei's photo is taken during an operation and he becomes wanted by the police both in Hong Kong and the Mainland. Wei's task is not as easy one and he misses his wife and son badly. Gu has to suffer humiliation because of his father, but it does not affect his love for his dad since father and son understand each other. A Hong Kong Police inspector, Fong Yat-Wah, is sent to the Mainland to investigate a case. She becomes acquainted with Wei's son and wife and gets to know about Wei as a person. She also finds that Wei is an undercover agent. Ha dies from her illness. Before she dies, she asks Fong to take care of Gu for her. Gu wants to go to Hong Kong with Fong to be reunited with his dad. Fu gets a tip-off and suspects Wei. He has Gu kidnapped, hoping to make him tell the truth. Wei does not know what to do. Gu risks his own life to save his dad, but Wei's true identity is still exposed. Luckily, Fong saves Gu and they hide at Blackie's. Fu's gang is still after them. Blackie, Gu, and Wei join forces to exterminate the Fu Gang. After going through so much together, Fong and Wei are in love. Gu has a complete family again.
