A remake of the first Ryu ga Gotoku
With new added content, hostess clubs, catfight and pocket circuit racing from 0, and karaoke (which wasn't in the first game), this is a remake worth picking up. Especially since it depicts more clearly Nishiki's corruption and fills various plot holes. If you played the first game, you'll love this.

Yakuza 1 remake
this is a remake of the first Yakuza game with some new added content. A must have for anyone that wants to revisit the first Yakuza

Excellent game
After Yakuza 5, it's actually pretty nice to have a game that focuses solely on Kiryu and Kamurocho. The story's as interesting as it was ten years ago, and all the new things to see and do are no less fun than they've ever been. If you don't mind maybe not being able to follow all the plot or substories, then you'll definitely enjoy this as much as any other Yakuza.

Weakest in series
+ Awesome story and well written plot line (as usual!)
+ Battles with Majima no aniki are fun!
+ sub stories are fun as usual

- Less heat action
- routine and poorly designed boss battles without QTE are disappointing
- Kiryu is now weaker and fly like paper after average mob punch
- They made Doojima no Ryu style weaker and it takes much affort to unlock all abilities
- FPS drop after some heat action (0 and Ishin didn't have such problems on PS4)

3/5 really, fans will be disappointed

Good remaster game
No matter you do play the PS2 version or PS3 HD version, if you are friend, should give a try for Kiwami. Story line is continue from 0; most of the system do change & upgrade a bit.
