Led by trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, "aTak" is a big band consisting of 15 of the scene's leading players.
The band consists of 15 members, including two baritone saxophones, two guitars, two percussionists, and two vocalists, and is based on the formation of the Afrobeat band "Akoya," which Kuroda is a member of in Brooklyn.
The band features important figures from the Japanese music scene, and they shake the floor with Afrobeat, funk, and soul music.
