Amazing!
This game is the very reason I bought a japanese PS2, and has not failed to please! Incredible cel-shaded graphics and fantastic gameplay add together to make this a must have purchase for any fan of the ape escape franchise, or ps2 owner for that matter.
Due to the high number of complex options in the game, it may cause confusion at first for us non-japanese speaking types, but once you get the hang of it you shouldn't have much problem understanding the gameplay, and the story (some of the cutscenes are in english with a japanese translation voiceover played over the top; if you listen carefully, you can just about hear it).
The only problem I can pick with the game is the camera and lockon system, which often go out of their way to cuase problems fro the player.
Past this little niggle, however, you have by far one of the best Japanese-exclusive games out there, and could fully justify a console purchase based on this game alone. Verdict: Buy it now!
