description

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game in the Resident Evil franchise, with familiar locales from the entire series. This action/shooter hybrid reveals the back story behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new never-before-seen locations, such as Umbrella's stronghold. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience that could only be delivered on the Wii.

Intense zombie shooter
I first played the 2010 sequel, Darkside Chronicles. Of course the graphics of Umbrella Chronicles are not as good as in the sequel, but the action is almost at the same level. If you buy this game, you will get a solid rail shooter set in the Biohazard universe. Well-known characters and locations, new insights into the outbreaks and upgradable weapons make this game a must have for Biohazard fans. The most fun lies in the two player mode, of course.
But beware: Playing with Wiimote only does not really help the atmosphere. This game is best played with a gun controller, for example the Wii Zapper or the House of the Dead Handcannon.

Is there any better gun game?
Umbrella Chronicles has the most content of any gun game I've ever played. There's tons of levels and lots of hidden items to find within them. The story is a nice recap of past RE games, even if it's filled with minor inconsistencies. The graphics and sound are excellent too. Co-op play is too much fun... All gun fans should pick up a Zapper or a better gun peripheral and give it a shot. This version is Japanese, but all the voices are in English with Japanese subtitles.

not what i was expecting
i was a little disappointed by this one to be honest. i was hoping for another house of the dead experience like i had with my dreamcast, but this game is just not as fun

there needs to be a better balance between quick moving enemies (to scare/surprise you) but not make them ridiculously difficult to kill

i also find the crosshairs/scope on the screen to be very annoying and poorly designed. it detracts from the other elements of the game and should have been simplified
