Break with tradition
This is the first game in the Dirt series to truly step away from the old Colin McRae games. It is targeted to a new and younger audience.

The menus are clumsy and the loading times are awful. Two minutes of racing followed by two minutes of waiting over and over again. I also hate how the game keeps pestering you to create accounts and says things like "yo amigo, that was sick, you should share it with your fans on Youtube!" It makes me cringe.

The highlight for this game is Gymkhana, which isn't really featured in any other games. Very well done and fun. I also enjoyed the Rally Cross because it offers very close and exciting racing.

If you're intro traditional rally games where you drive through stages in various countries I would recommend Dirt 1 or 2 over this one.
