E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (35th Anniversary Edition)

一隊外星人在加利福尼亞州的樹林裏搜集植物樣本，不久政府特工出現四下搜尋，外星人連忙乘太空船撤離，但其中有一位沒能趕上。鏡頭轉至城郊的一戶民宅，一個名叫埃利奧特的十歲男孩希望能和16歲的哥哥米高以及他的朋友們一起玩。他到門口從送貨員手中取過比薩餅，回來時發現有什麼東西藏在家裏的工具棚里。埃利奧特發現那是一隻從未見過的生物，被發現時還試圖逃離。埃利奧特回到屋裏吃飯，告訴家人自己的發現，但沒人相信他，於是他用花生醬糖果把外星人從工具棚引到臥室。上床睡覺前，埃利奧特意識到外星人在模仿自己的動作。第二天早上，埃利奧特裝病逃學，留在家裏和外星人一起玩，當天下午，米高和五歲大的妹妹格蒂都見到外星人。三個孩子決定，這事兒可不能讓媽媽知道了。他們問起外星人從何而來，外星人用一種神奇的力量將多個球懸浮到空中來代表太陽系，之後又顯示出擁有將枯萎植物復活的能力。
