Great game, but showing its age
Bought this and spent a week tearing it up. Super interesting and there's always something to do. Epic map that you'll never see all of. Plus, there are lots of modding options online to customize the game to your liking. Best character creation yet. Showing its age graphically, but still worth buying.

Believable wasteland.
This game is perfect for anyone who's ever wondered how life after a nuclear holocaust might be. This RPG-shooter-hybrid puts you in the boots of a survivor and lets you explore a huge wasteland filled with grotesque locations, monsters and characters.
Full of retro-satire and comic-book-violence, this game is sure to entertain for weeks.

The biggest high quality RPGs ever made
This game is truly a dream come through for anyone who had any interest in either the old Fallout games, or the previous sandbox game from Bethesda, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Get ready to be addicted...

Fallout 3
Many have tried but this is the first post-apocalyptic game which really makes you feel like you are in a nuclear wasteland. Fallout 3 lets you explore the huge world of blown-up buildings, radiated pools, evil raiders lurking in scrapyards and super mutant behemoths that take a mini-nuke to take down. You control your own destiny in this game and can choose to be good or evil. For example, in the early part of the game, you can choose to disarm a bomb to save a town. The best part is that you can kill your enemies in many ways. Go conventional with handguns, rifles and shotguns; aim for accuracy with energy weapons; go bada-boom with rocket launchers and mini-nukes. You can also be an explosives expert and lay mines and sneak up to the enemy to drop a grenade in his pants. Or be Bruce Lee by being a master in unarmed combat.

Fallout 3 Collector's Edition
The game itself is brilliant, keep me awake at night for days.. it stays true to the original Fallout material, while expanding on the world creatively..

It plays very smoothly on my Vista 64bit machine after applying the first patch from Bethesda.

Still has a couple of bugs, but Bethesda has promised a couple of more patches to come out soon..

However the Collector's Edition freebies is a bit disappointing.. no posters, no soundtrack audio CDs, and the DVD itself is in a normal, Games for Windows soft plastic CD casing, put into the Lunch Box. I was hoping that for the premium price we pay, it would be in a special casing of some sort in the Lunch Box.

The metal lunchbox does not feel durable at all. Definitely wont survive a nuclear holocaust!

Finally the Vault Boy Bobblehead nicely done, but feels like a McDonald's toy, just a bit bigger.

I've got collector editions of other games, and Fallout 3 Collector's Edition seems to fall short to me. (The Singapore release of Red Alert 3 for example, has a limited numbered metal casing, with free Red Alert designed LAPTOP BAG, 2 posters, audio CD, making DVD etc, for similar price to Fallout 3's collector edition). I think Bethesda should give more collector items to make the Collector Edition worthwhile for their fans.

However it is a very enjoyable game anyway, and for that I will give it a 5 out of 5
