Item Description

Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain follows a lone adventurer on his travels through the old Dwarven keep within Firetop Mountain. Now the residence of an evil warlock and hordes of foul creatures, the keep is a mysterious and dangerous place from which no one has returned in many years. As players guide the adventurer through the many passageways and dungeons, they develop the character’s abilities and attributes to suit their play style. Enemies will fall before the player’s brute strength with sword and axe, power of the arcane arts, nimble quickness or custom combination of skills. A wealth of weaponry, armor, potions and enchantments are equipped through an intuitive drag-and-drop inventory system while helpful (or not-so-helpful) NPCs provide guidance, quests, trade goods and skill training.

in terms short but brilliant
Fighting Fantasy is an traditional Dungeon Crawler with eye catching 3D graphics like Metroid Prime Hunters.

The only different is that Fighting Fantasy has no 3D modeled enemys. In FF the enemys are handcrafted 2D Sprites but this didn´t bother cause there are nice animated and the speed of the Game doesn´t step down because of that reason.

Also the gamecharakterstik ist like a traditional pen and paper-RPG which means that a Level Up only gifs you one point to add to an Attribute. You can compare it with an Might and Magic (light) gameplay.

Which means you control one man through a Dungeon and compete against Orcs, Cyclops etc. solving some Quests, logpicking a Chest or a Trap and visit the only City for buying new items. Additional you will also find some merchants in the dungeons but the city have he better items (tipp ^^).

You can collect hundred of items (weapons, shield, potions, armor etc.) and playing the game was just fun and i played it again after i completed it once.

Finaly you should also know that the game didn´t have any music. Throught the game there are only noices like screaming in the Torture Chambers or bird´s twittering outside. But that is not a negative point for me cause i know many games where the music only bother and i have switched it off. ^^

So my conclusion: buy it, play it and enjoy it ^^
