Item Description

In this virtual world, there will be friends and fun adventures waiting for you... However, there are also rampant PK (Player Kill, an abbreviation for Player Killer referring to players who intentionally kill each other), repeated conflicts between guilds, and mysterious events that even the game developers can't remember incorporating...

"The world" had begun to turn into a lawless zone that even the system administrators could not control.

In such a chaotic game, there emerged a young man, "Haseo", who was feared as the "Terror of Death".

The goal of Haseo, who indiscriminately hunts PKs, is to find and take revenge on an unidentified PK called the "Tri-Edge" who PKed his cherished friend, "Shino", with a mysterious power outside the specifications and drove her unconscious in the real world.

Who is "Tri-Edge"? Why do in-game deaths affect the real world?

Witness the relationship between Haseo and "The World" as they unravel the mystery which begins to go beyond the realm of "fun" games.

".hack//G.U. Last Recode" will contain four parts from Vol.1 to Vol.4:Rebirth, Reminisce, Redemption, and Reconnection.

Old school goodness!
I missed out on playing these back on the ps2 so now that this trilogy was ported to current platforms it was a must.
Though it is an older game I'm happy newer generations get to have access to these games to understand how games used to be before all of this live service, overly monetized craze ruined current the video game industry.
These are games that are fully complete, doesn't require to be online at all, and you only pay once for a game.
We need more games like this, you pay once and have access tovthe entire game.

Pretty boring
The whole game is like watching some boring cutscenes and repeating the same actions over and over again. The graphics look outdated and everything has bland colours. Play the original .hack trilogy for ps2 instead

.hack//G.U. Last Recode
These games originally were on the PS2 so the graphics do show their age so keep that in mind if you only care about graphics. The still look pretty good to me though.
While I enjoy the game-play I have heard others complain about it being repetitive after several hours.
The main reason to purchase this game is the story which is absolutely fantastic and kept me hooked all the way to the end. The fact that it simulates an MMO incredibly well which immerses you in this world makes it an even more compelling game to play.
Overall it's a fantastic game based on a fantastic series. Pick this one up before it's too late.

Better then any other version!
When I was young i tried very hard to get my parents to buy me all of these games. It did not happen as they were very costly back then, it is very nice to have them all here!
This game took a long time to get to the Nintendo Switch. This is a collection of PS2 games remastered & collected for new consoles. This is the best way to play this game & it is only on Nintendo Switch; portable & physical! It can easily become a hidden gem on the Switch because of its late release.
Do not let this one out of your sight, buy it today!
