Plot: Mitsuha and Taki are two total strangers living completely different lives. But when Mitsuha makes a wish to leave her mountain town for the bustling city of Tokyo, they become connected in a bizarre way. She dreams she is a boy living in Tokyo while Taki dreams he is a girl from a rural town he's never been to. What does their newfound connection mean? And how will it bring them together?
Collector edition includes blu-ray and blu-ray Ultra HD with 3 bonus discs for a total of 5 housed in a special case!
First bonus disc comes with complete plans commented by Makoto Shinkai and making-of documentary (1 hour).
Second bonus disc contains Ryunosuke Kamiki (Taki character voice actor) Mone Kamishiraishi (Mitsuha character voice actress) and RADWINPS comments. Includes unused voice material, intro theme without credit, Suntory water advertisement, "Your Name" music video edition.
Third bonus disc features "Kimi no Na wa (Your Name") story and scenes explained by Makoto Shinkai. Also comes with event video footage.
A 100-page book, script book and sticker(s) are included. Digipak was designed by Makoto Shinkai, Masayoshi Tanaka (animation director), and Akiko Majima (background designer).
