Perfect for explorers and adventurers out there!
Kingdoms Of Amalur is one those unappreciated hidden gems out there.

Its story is a typical western RPG one: A powerful army is rising and devours anything on its path, and you're the chosen one, the only person who can stop it and the destruction of the world is at hand etc etc. Nothing you haven't seen before.

The battle system is what drew my attention in the first place. It's kind of easy for veterans like me, but at the same time it's so much fun, I couldn't put my controller down! There are dozens of skills, weapon masteries and spells to learn, and when combined with your abilities at fighting, dodging and blocking, they can make a really enjoyable experience. You should also play the game on hard because normal mode is a piece of cake.

Now. The world map of Kingdoms Of Amalur is HUGE, so you must love exploration in order to enjoy this game. There are literally thousands of hidden items, dungeons and pathways to discover. There is also a TON of side quests to do.

Lastly, I would like to say that the game's art style is amazing. Vivid colors, beautiful cities and castles, wonderful spell animations, all create a perfect world for you to enjoy. This game really is something else!

The only bad things I can think of is, the relatively limited variety of options when you create your character, the low cap level, which is 40 (and you can easily reach it at about 80% completion if you explore and do every side quest), and that the game may be boring for people who don't like too much exploration in open world games.

This game is a marvel and it's a pity it didn't get more attention.

Good Action-RPG game.
Kingdoms of Amalur works perfectly on my PAL european Xbox 360 though is the NTSC version, as Play-Asia advertises. But let's get to the facts;
KoA: Reckoning is an ample game with a big lot of configuration options, places to discover, people to talk, intense battles to fight and hundreds of clothes to wear. It's in the way of other similar games like the Mass Effect trilogy or Skirim, but with a different feeling.
The options and menus are very complete and sometimes it's a little overwhelming to read all the information available through the happenings and missions in the game, but that surely will amuse the fans of the genre and the minutely-precise gamers.

A great game that entertains and amazes, with good graphics, good gameplay and good music.

options galore
there are many different ways to build your character and it is a bit time consuming going through all the different menu options. it is nice to have so much power over how exactly your character develops... but it is boring reading all of the different options on all of the different menus. i want a bit faster/easier levelling up system in my ideal game. other than that, its cool.
