Good racing game
First of all, it may play like another Need for Speed game - you travel around a fixed map to engage in races - but once you are racing, you won't notice any similarity as Midnight Club 3 is special on its own.

Since you are racing on open streets most of the time, you get to choose your route as long as you pass the checkpoints in line. The racing is exhilarating and satisfying at the same time because it's neither too short nor too easy. Of course, most of the time, it does feel that you are just battling one single competitor (who always seem to win every race) given that your upgrades made to your vehicle is better. The game can be rather forgiving, at least at the beginning but can get quite testing towards the final races.

You'd also admire the polished graphics of the game. Sure, it's not next-gen but racing in the city does not appear to slow down the frame rate very noticeably and you'd admire the rain effects and the lighting present of the cities that you are racing in.

Grab this game now before it disappears from the PS2 game library!
