Item Description
This is a phantom album released only by Victor Japan at the time, recorded during a session with Terumasa Hino during his visit to Japan in 1973.
Reminiscent Suite by American pianist Mal Waldron and Japanese trumpeter Terumasa Hino was released in 1973 on the famed Victor label and is one of several Japan-only albums that Waldron has recorded and released over more than 30 years, most of which have never been released outside of Japan.
"Reminicent Suite" consists of two extended tracks, each taking up its own side: the title track on side A was composed by Waldron and is a dark, brooding, heavy groove typical of his early '70s sound, while "Black Forest" on side B was written by Hino and is a vibrant, energetic piece layered with dense percussion and Hino's signature trumpet timbre.
