I can't read or understand it, but it is really fun.
Great gameplay and full of entertaining minigames and side quests. Online guides conveniently translate the majority of available content for those that can't read Japanese.
I bought this game for a friend and I am going to take his word in saying that this game is really good. I bought the other games in this series for him. He says he likes them. Also, he didn't mention anything about a language barrier. I guess the game is easy enough to figure out. He may also be using an online guide.
After 6 games in the main series, 2 portable games and 3 spin offs, one would think this series is getting stale, but that is not the case thankfully. Really fun game.
I truly love this game. The setting is so fresh and cool and it's just amazingly fun, and it's so fun seeing beloved characters from the series in this totally different enviornment. I'm a student of Japanese language and I've even learned new kanji from playing this, so that's a big plus on my account! Regardless, it's a really good game. It ties in with real-life history and provides many aspects of gameplay as well as gorgeous enviornments. I'm really glad I purchased it. And, like it says, this game will work on all ps3s, not just Japanese systems, so don't worry - it will work on yours!
