Short, but presented with style!!
- Although SHIKHONDO: SOUL EATER is kinda short, then did the game made me want to come back for more action.. Just, one more go to get a better score.!! And after "completing" the game several times now, can I sincerely recommend it. Players with all possible levels of skill, will get a challenge here!. Whatta Great shooter!!
So, here's a game, with solid controls, awesome style, and a great soundtrack to back it all up!!

Beautiful edition
This Eastasiasoft physical release is a real treat. While not having tons of additional content included, what is included is very nice and extremely classy when compared to other far bigger and more expensive limited editions.
The game itself is even more beautiful. The art style is often stunning and simultaneously grotesque. The gameplay is tight and the learning curve builds to something very challenging.
The only downside is the games brevity - it would have really benefited from another stage or two. It also ends extremely abruptly - as soon as the final boss is beaten it jumps very jarringly to the games credits (without even a score breakdown screen, as all the other stages had concluded with).
In my opinion this is definitely a top 5 contender for bullet hell shmups on the PS4.

Definitevely worth giving a shot, with care
Shikhondo kinda came behind the corner, louded as "Touhou from Korea" the first time I read about it. That's not exactly wrong, considering it is a game with folklore supernatural themes and such combined with bullet hell.
As such, anyone familiar with vertical shooting games already know what to expect, and it delivers. Shikhondo is very to-the-core game and it shows with smooth controls and extremely good presentation. The title is indeed rather short. It may not overstay its welcome, but it doesn't really deliver everything it promises. It's just hair short of being a terrific title, but ends up being rather middle of the road.

That said, this is pretty good first entry, and any future title in the Shikhondo series has a great base which to expand from.
