5/5
I was hoping the game will be released in complete with DLC on disc but it seems that is not going to happen. Therefore I decided to purchase anyway to complete my collections of Soul Calibur series. Love the game with guest characters, especially 2B from NieR Automata.

Gran juego de peleas
Un genial soft reboot de la saga soul calibur.

A good returm, but still not back to it's prime.
Soul Calibur VI is somewhat of a reboot and a remake not only of the original Soul Calibur but also for the series as general, while it manage to recover some of it's original essence it did miss in some aspects.
It's game-play is great, a mix of the earlier titles with some aspects from the latter ones, while bringing back most of the original cast, with a couple of exceptions, as well as a few characters that did not appear until later titles, like Talim and Zazalamel. The character creation mode is pretty awesome, it has a lot of options to customize and it also let us create not just humans but a lot of different races like elves, ogres, angels, skeletons and many more. The new mission mode, Libra of Souls, is an amazing separate adventure with a lot of unique features that makes it quite deep and entertaining. The music is excellent and the graphics are great too, though nothing that hasn't been seen in other games that use a similar engine.
Among the game's low points is the story mode for the main characters, which was probably my greatest disappointment, it's quite lacking, not very good and kind of dull to be honest, and while there is a more classic arcade mode, this one is a bit limited too. Also, while each character has multiple weapons available, these are merely decorative and don't offer any kind of special effects like they did on previous games. The stages are well designed and look great, but there are a few of them that are basically the same except during a different time, like day and night, and shouldn't be treated as separated stages since it reduces the overall variety of the available stages, at least in my opinion.
Overall is a good game, probably not nearly as good as Soul Calibur II and III, but certainly far much better than the IV and V games. Still i recommend it, especially for the series's veterans, but even those who are new shouldn't have any issue, even more so with the story-line's readjustments.
