Similar to Pokémon
If you enjoyed the first game then you'll enjoy this one as well. It looks good overall with a better art style compared to the first game and plays quite well. The story leaves something to be desired but that doesn't matter much for this franchise as the game-play is the main draw here.
You don't have to be a fan of the main Monster Hunter games to enjoy this game. You should definitely check this out if you're a fan of Japanese RPGs.
