Product Features

  • Fight thrilling and immersive turn-based battles that factor in the verticality and obstacles of dungeons when determining character and enemy placement. Take powerful bosses down a peg by caving in the ceiling or blasting them with devastating weapons
  • Assemble your party from a range of fighters with diverse personal skills. Use their unique defensive commands to protect allies in the same row, counter incoming attacks, provoke foes, or charge up for your next strike. Bolster attacks using “Cover Fire” and “Smith,” raise morale with “Cheer”—you can even have a “Soak” in the hot springs before doing battle. Noncombatant characters have your back too, with support skills that will give you an edge
  • Flex your strategic muscles in War Battles that pit commander against commander. Take control of legions of soldiers in dynamic, RTS-like scenarios where siege engines and other weapons of war could turn the tides
  • Confront foes in dramatic, one-on-one Duels that are woven seamlessly into the story
  • Customize party members with rune-lenses. The runes you place in the lenses will confer magic, personal abilities, stat boots, auto-skills, and other useful effects

Item Description

The JRPG is back with a new host of heroes.

Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values. By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there.

The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic.

Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand its power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends.

However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes became the #1 funded Kickstarter video game of 2020 thanks to phenomenal support from the community. 505 Games is truly honored to publish Eiyuden Chronicle and work with Rabbit & Bear to help deliver a memorable gaming experience to fans. The goal of Rabbit & Bear and 505 Games is to make sure Eiyuden Chronicle reaches its true potential and delivers a worthwhile JRPG the community will enjoy.

Could easily be Suikoden VI
If you played and loved the Suikoden series and are looking for a game like them while we wait for the remasters of Suikoden 1 and 2, then you will love this game. I too can confirm it is in English. And it's better to have this physical cart instead of the 27gb download if you bought it digitally.

Old school RPG that's marred with technical shortcomings
The game, story and characters are fun to engage with, and battle mechanics are quite thoughtful in its design. Unfortunately Switch version of the game tends to have quite a lot of inconsistent performance and hence it will require quite a few more patches before it can offer more pleasure playing experience. It's pity as this is the similar issue 505 Games had with Bloodstained on the Switch until it had to be patched numerous times...

Well worth the price
Tons of playability I really enjoy this game I've played it for several hours and haven't hit the same thing twice I don't think you can go wrong with this game. Especially if you enjoy horror games and roguelite type games. Plus the art for the game is just awesome the old-school feel.

Creepy as Hell/Fully Localized Horror Gem
This game will get under your skin if you appreciate it's 1 or 2-bit visual style (reminiscent of Junji Ito), frequent scary/unsettling moments and some oddball humor with your horror. Kind of a turn-based roguelike with multiple mysteries to solve, there's quite a bit of replay value here if you're hooked into the gameplay loop.

Kemco RPG Selection Vol. 5
I can also confirm that the Japanese version includes English. The games aren't overly complex but more akin to the RPGs found on older systems which I definitely enjoy. If that's what you're looking for then you'll most likely like this collection.
