Could easily be Suikoden VI
If you played and loved the Suikoden series and are looking for a game like them while we wait for the remasters of Suikoden 1 and 2, then you will love this game. I too can confirm it is in English. And it's better to have this physical cart instead of the 27gb download if you bought it digitally.

Old school RPG that's marred with technical shortcomings
The game, story and characters are fun to engage with, and battle mechanics are quite thoughtful in its design. Unfortunately Switch version of the game tends to have quite a lot of inconsistent performance and hence it will require quite a few more patches before it can offer more pleasure playing experience. It's pity as this is the similar issue 505 Games had with Bloodstained on the Switch until it had to be patched numerous times...

Well worth the price
Tons of playability I really enjoy this game I've played it for several hours and haven't hit the same thing twice I don't think you can go wrong with this game. Especially if you enjoy horror games and roguelite type games. Plus the art for the game is just awesome the old-school feel.

Creepy as Hell/Fully Localized Horror Gem
This game will get under your skin if you appreciate it's 1 or 2-bit visual style (reminiscent of Junji Ito), frequent scary/unsettling moments and some oddball humor with your horror. Kind of a turn-based roguelike with multiple mysteries to solve, there's quite a bit of replay value here if you're hooked into the gameplay loop.

Kemco RPG Selection Vol. 5
I can also confirm that the Japanese version includes English. The games aren't overly complex but more akin to the RPGs found on older systems which I definitely enjoy. If that's what you're looking for then you'll most likely like this collection.
