It is an amazing cover for a blue 3DSXL and it also looks amazing.

Can't stop staring at it

I have the pink/ white 3DSXL so when I received the case and realized that it was translucent, I began to worry a bit. To my surprise, it actually looks pretty good despite the pink backdrop. The dark tint of the case certainly helps a lot. The yellow font that says "Gyakuten Saiban 5" isn't all that visible on my 3DSXL but it doesn't bother me one bit. I imagine that this case would look best on a pure black 3DSXL. I will try it out on the red and blue ones soon.

As for the case itself, it is very sturdy. It will probably survive drop-ages fairly well. The material is smooth and comfortable to hold. On the back case, there is a rough portion where you grip the 3DS. It is very comfortable in the hands. I highly recommend this product to all hardcore fans of the series.
