Item Description

You control the fate of Bathoryn, a doomed hero in a Gothic world, who seeks to liberate six cursed realms from six deadly overlords. He must battle his way through this blighted land, packed with gruesome and lethal creatures before ascending (or sometimes descending) into a stronghold, all the while defeating fiendish traps and vile monsters alike.

Accompanying the heavy metal visuals is an even heavier metal soundtrack recorded by Curt Victor Bryant (formerly of Celtic Frost).

Merciless and Metal!
Slain is not for the faint of heart, this game wants you dead and WILL succeed over and over again in making you that way...but if you've got what it takes to conquer this hellscape, then glorious 2D action is your reward.

Easily one of the best action/platformers ever made, this game also has a companion piece from the same developer called Valfaris. If you love Slain, you'll also love Valfaris.

I eagerly await the next release from this team, they know how to perfectly balance difficulty with skill and mechanics. A literal perfect game.

A tough game
For me this is a tough game, really difficult.
I like metroidvania games, but I would like it too ease up a little on the difficulty.
And yes I know the saying that I just need to get good 😝
A bloody game with heavy metal music, a game for more experienced players or those who just loves a challenge.
